Amanda Grant is one of the country's leading food educators

Thanks for visiting my new website!

I am a busy mum juggling looking after my three children, cooking, writing and talking about food. I know how challenging it can be thinking of something to cook every night and I also understand how frustrating it can be planning and cooking for a busy family who often want to eat at different times.

My advice is to try and keep it simple and this website will hopefully help you along the way.

Cooking is so much more than simply making something to eat. Cooking is about learning where food comes from, it's about talking, sharing, maths, geography, reading, art and writing. Food brings people, places and time together and this is what really excites me about it. Cooking never stands still, it is always changing.

I love to encourage children into the kitchen and June 27th and 28th was a particularly exciting weekend for me - I was running the Kids' Kitchen marquee at the Children's food festival in Oxford. It was a huge success - please look at my news page to see what went on.
